The Reverend Leanne Beaumont, Priest In Charge

Mother Leanne and her husband Jim, along with their four children; Adam, Samuel, Noah, and Christian, are excited to be an active part of the St. Mary’s Church community. Mother Leanne was formed for ordained ministry through the Diocese of the Central Gulf Coast School of Ministry. Mother Leanne was ordained to the Transitional Deaconate on May 4, 2024, and graduated from the School of Ministry on June 8, 2024. She was ordained to the Priesthood on November 6th, 2024. Prior to hearing the call to ordained ministry, she was a professional violinist and violist; performing and teaching extensively in the Pensacola and Gulf Coast area.

She has held a variety of positions in her career including Music Minister, Children’s Minister, Family Life Minister, and teacher. She was the Orchestra Director at St. Paul Catholic School in Pensacola. Mother Leanne has conducted numerous children’s orchestras and is the Co-Director, conductor, and teacher of the UWF Jr. StringFest.

She and her children play concerts at local churches with all proceeds donated to charitable organizations. Mother Leanne was born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, and enjoyed a childhood filled with natural beauty and wonder. Having the freedom to explore beautiful oceans, beaches, forests, and lakes, Mother Leanne experienced God within nature. As a child, she was raised in the Roman Catholic Church before finding the Episcopal Church.

Mother Leanne is dedicated to the grace-filled love that the Episcopal Church offers and feels blessed to share the love of Christ with her St. Mary’s family. She and her family live in Pensacola where they enjoy an active life kayaking, fishing, swimming, biking, cooking, playing board games, and having adventures together. They have three cats, Smokey, Annabelle, and Papi.
